Apple claims that the LM Studio's large model prompt processing speed is up to 4.8 times that of the M4 version. The more expensive M5 Pro version supports up to 64GB of unified memory and 307GB/s bandwidth, with Apple stating that it is suitable for long-term operation of AI agents. Both machines have also upgraded to Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and a 2.5Gb Ethernet port, officially going on sale on September 22.
