The first plenary session of the 24th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress was held on the morning of the 25th at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, chaired by Chairman Zhao Leji. On behalf of the State Council, Vice Minister of Finance Lin Zechang presented a report on the budget execution situation so far this year. The report indicated that fiscal policies are becoming more proactive and precise, with overall stability in budget execution and fiscal operations. It outlined the implementation of the budget resolution from the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress and proposed the next steps for fiscal priorities: precisely and effectively implementing more proactive fiscal policies; accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system; ensuring and improving people's livelihoods; strengthening risk prevention and resolution in key areas; continuously deepening fiscal management reforms; and enhancing comprehensive fiscal supervision.
