According to monitoring by Dongcha Beating, after competitor Claude Code first implemented mobile takeover functionality, OpenAI has officially integrated the code assistant tool Codex into the ChatGPT mobile app today, fulfilling a long-standing community request. Users can now remotely monitor and command Codex tasks running on their computers or in the cloud via their mobile phones. The company also revealed that the weekly active users of Codex have surpassed 4 million. The mobile app does not merely issue commands; it synchronizes with the real-time operational status of the development machine. Whether Codex is running on local devices or remote servers, users can view terminal outputs, screenshots, test results, and code differences in real-time on their mobile devices. As the development tasks handled by AI agents take longer, users can utilize fragmented time for decision-making or permission approvals, preventing development progress from stalling due to waiting for manual confirmations. The underlying cross-device connection is driven by a secure relay layer, allowing the development machine to stay synchronized with the mobile device without exposing it to the public internet. For enterprise environments, the Remote SSH feature allows direct connections to internal servers, and a Hooks mechanism for customizing agent behavior and intercepting sensitive information is now officially available; the enterprise version also adds HIPAA compliance support for running Codex locally. As large models are now capable of independently executing long-term automation tasks, the bottleneck in human-machine collaboration has shifted from 'coding' to 'approval and correction.' On April 17, Xiaomi Miclaw officially passed the evaluation of mobile intelligent assistants (Claw) conducted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, becoming the first mobile intelligent agent in the country to achieve this certification. The evaluation was conducted based on the 'General Framework for Intelligent Assistant Benchmark Testing,' assessing three main dimensions: basic capabilities, edge-side applications, and comprehensive abilities. According to reports, Xiaomi Miclaw relies on Xiaomi's self-developed MiMo large model and possesses four key capabilities: full ecological underlying support, deep memory, cross-domain interconnectivity, and continuous self-evolution, enabling it to seamlessly integrate with mobile phones, PCs, cockpits, and AIoT devices to autonomously execute complex commands.
