Recently, however, we have started to observe a concerning increase in malicious Hooks. In the past few weeks, 0x has identified a troubling rise in the number of malicious Uniswap v4 Hooks. These Hooks are designed to display one price during the quote request phase, but execute the trade at a different price during actual settlement. The attack patterns of these malicious Hooks vary, but the end result is the same: they steal funds from users by deceiving aggregators, wallets, and trading applications.
