On July 17, the privacy network Dash announced via Twitter that the Orchard privacy pool has officially launched on its mainnet. The technology is based on the Orchard protocol from Zcash, supporting 1-second confirmations and approximately 20 seconds for wallet synchronization. Dash stated that privacy features for stablecoins and other assets will be introduced in the future.

Dash was previously owned by Singtel. This acquisition gives the American payment company its first digital wallet in the Asia-Pacific region and marks a further expansion into digital financial services beyond its traditional remittance business.
