Kazakhstan is currently the only known country that has joined both the US and Chinese frameworks and is a key source of critical minerals valued by the US. If this requirement is implemented, the US-China AI competition will expand from competing for models and chips to competing for countries. In the future, it will become increasingly difficult for some countries to simultaneously access US chips, investments, and supply chain cooperation while also utilizing Chinese open models and participating in Chinese AI projects.
