This way, if the server fails, it can be easily replaced without the need to maintain a fixed primary node and complex repository replication relationships. Walgit implements this architecture as a Rust program, which can run by connecting to S3, GCS, and other object storage without requiring an additional database. It also supports bundle-uri (pre-packaging large repositories so that clones can be downloaded directly from object storage or CDN), as well as Git LFS, Web UI, API, OIDC login, and webhook. However, walgit primarily replicates the underlying Git storage of Origin, not the entire Origin platform. Features like PR, Issues, and complete CI collaboration layers are still not available.
