Built using a 2-nanometer process, it features 11 cores with a base frequency exceeding 5.7GHz and includes an AI inference accelerator capable of executing AI tasks such as fraud detection directly during financial transaction processing. This development means that institutions like banks can introduce modern AI software ecosystems into their mainframe systems without rewriting decades-old mainframe code or deploying separate AI servers.
