An Update on Customer Onboarding and Identity Verification

We wanted to share some updates to the customer onboarding and identity verification process that we have made over the past 3 months as part of our consistent effort to improve Poloniex as a leading worldwide cryptocurrency exchange.

We have been working hard to ensure that our required identity verification process runs as smoothly and seamlessly as possible for customers interested in trading on our exchange. Specifically, we have been making improvements to the document upload workflow to enable as many customers as possible to be instantly, automatically verified. We have also worked behind the scenes to staff up and streamline the customer review process so that customers who require assistance to be fully verified can get help from our support team as soon as possible.

We are happy to report that in the past 3 months we’ve seen a 33% increase in customers who are instantly verified, a 77% increase in customers who successfully pass our verification process, and an 85% decrease in customer waiting time for verification.

With these improvements, we are asking all legacy Poloniex customers who have not provided full identification information in the past to do so now through the Poloniex profile page. This page provides clear instructions on what information is required to verify your account. As soon as you submit this information, we will take steps to verify it and re-enable trading and transactions for your account. Please rest assured that your funds remain safe and accounted for while you complete this process – you can verify your holdings on the Balances page of your account throughout.
