Charvel Chedraui: Founder and CEO

Charvel Chedraui leads Wayru as both its founder and CEO. With over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Chedraui established Wayru to bridge connectivity gaps he recognized in Latin America. Prior to launching Wayru, Chedraui developed Latin America’s first WiFi marketing platform and has been instrumental in several initiatives aimed at digital inclusion for marginalized communities. His vision centered around integrating blockchain technology with internet infrastructure, particularly in regions underserved by traditional Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

Under his leadership, Wayru has attracted partnerships with major institutional stakeholders, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which has deployed pilot networks designed to support refugee populations in areas like Ecuador.
