CLUTCH operates under a fundamental principle: to merge the worlds of sports betting and blockchain technology. At the heart of the protocol lies the Decentralized Parlay Protocol (DPP), which allows users to construct parlay bets that merge outcomes from various sports events and prediction markets into a single wager. Each bet mints a non-fungible token (NFT), which serves as a verifiable record of the transaction and enables future integrations such as secondary market trading.

Odds are dynamically sourced from third-party platforms to reflect real-time market conditions, ensuring competitive pricing. Notably, the protocol voids bets involving inactive participants or correlated outcomes to maintain fairness, with refunds issued automatically.

Liquidity Provision and Tokenomics

Liquidity Providers (LPs) play a critical role in CLUTCH’s ecosystem by depositing funds into pools that back parlay bets. These LPs earn yield from losing wagers, akin to traditional sportsbook models, while winnings are drawn from pooled liquidity. To mitigate inflationary pressures, a 0.42% fee on winning parlays is employed to burn $CLUTCH tokens, creating deflationary pressure and enhancing scarcity. Furthermore, liquidity remains locked for one-month intervals, after which unused funds become withdrawable, balancing risk and reward for providers.
