Multi-Chain Design

Sentinel employs a modular blockchain architecture comprising three interconnected chains:

1. Identity Chain: Manages Anonymous User IDs (AUIDs) to authenticate users without storing personally identifiable information.
2. Service Chain: Handles bandwidth provisioning, node reputation scoring, and dVPN tunneling via V2Ray obfuscation protocols.
3. Transaction Chain: Processes payments and staking rewards using $P2P tokens, compatible with Cosmos-based assets via IBC.

This separation ensures scalability, with the Service Chain supporting high-throughput microtransactions critical for bandwidth markets.

Proof-of-Stake Consensus

Sentinel uses a bonded Proof-of-Stake (bPOS) system, where over 80 validators secure the network. Validators must stake $P2P tokens, incentivizing honest participation while allowing token holders to delegate stakes for passive income.

Bandwidth Marketplace

The node marketplace enables individuals to sell excess bandwidth as “exit nodes” or “relay nodes.” Consumers pay node operators in $P2P, with 20% of fees distributed to stakers as rewards. This model aligns incentives between bandwidth providers, validators, and users.
