The token issuance process begins with a licensed depositary institution purchasing actual NVIDIA shares held in regulated custody. Following this acquisition, an equivalent number of NVDAx tokens are minted on the blockchain, creating a 1:1 correspondence between circulating tokens and underlying shares. This minting process occurs exclusively through authorized issuers who comply with stringent financial regulations spanning jurisdictions.

Crucially, the redemption mechanism forms a critical component of the token's economic model, enabling holders to exchange NVDAx tokens for the cash equivalent of the underlying NVIDIA shares via designated redemption portals. This exchange involves burning the tokens on-chain while the custodian liquidates the corresponding shares, with proceeds then distributed to the redeemer. The token's value is directly linked to the real-time market valuation of NVIDIA stock, with price oracles continuously updating on-chain price feeds to guarantee accurate valuation. The technical implementation also features multi-signature security protocols and routine third-party audits to verify collateralization ratios, ensuring ongoing compliance with the 1:1 backing principle.

Smart contract functionality further enables advanced features such as automated dividend distributions, although present implementations do not include the transmission of voting rights.
