The blockchain gaming platform GAMEE announced that GMEE token holders on the Polygon network can now claim their GMEE tokens on the Ethereum network through a dedicated claiming page. Previously, GAMEE suffered a hack on the Polygon network, and to protect the interests of the community, the team decided to transition GMEE from the Polygon network to Ethereum. All users who held GMEE tokens before the hack will receive the same number of tokens on the Ethereum network at a ratio of 1:1.

GMEE Token has released an update on the hacking incident, stating that the impact is currently limited to the Polygon network. Efforts are currently being made to identify and freeze the hacker's funds, and trading is still suspended. However, transactions on the Ethereum blockchain are not affected. Regarding the repair plan, it is planned to open Ethereum-based token claims for GMEE Token holders on the Polygon chain in February. To protect the community, legitimate holders' tokens are currently being transferred back to Ethereum, which maximizes the reduction of the impact and prioritizes community protection. During this migration phase, users will be urged to avoid trading or transferring GMEE Tokens, which is crucial for the accuracy of the Ethereum claims snapshot. Liquidity providers on DEX are also advised to withdraw their liquidity.

GMEE Token has issued an update on the hack, stating that all contracts and funds owned by the community are safe, but the hacker still controls approximately 200 million GMEE Tokens on Polygon. To protect users, the Polygon-Ethereum bridge and transactions and deposits on Polygon have been temporarily suspended, and a remediation plan is currently being researched.
