The Clarity Act was passed by the House last year and aims to establish a regulatory framework that clearly delineates the regulatory jurisdiction of digital assets as securities, commodities, or stablecoins. The bill has stalled this year due to disagreements between banking lobbyists and cryptocurrency companies over stablecoin revenue issues. A new draft in July prohibited government officials from promoting or profiting from cryptocurrencies, but some Democrats still believe the bill is inadequate and are calling for amendments. Former President Trump has also urged lawmakers to push for the passage of the bill.

When users take a photo, the main camera sensor simultaneously captures signed sensor data. Subsequently, Apple's 'private cloud computing' service converts this data into an 'immutable image' that can be viewed in the 'Photos' app. If a photo has been edited, users can view the original 'digital negative' image and compare the differences. The certification mark of the 'Reference Image' will not only appear on the device that took the photo; users can also share the signed photos with others, including the reference signature for future verification. However, this feature will not be launched in the EU or China for the time being.
