Bitcoin treasury company Strive (ASST) has announced the launch of an initial public offering for a new class of perpetual preferred stock, SATS, which is set with a fixed dividend rate of 15%. The company plans to issue 5 million shares at a price of $100 per share, raising a total of $500 million. The new shares will have a lower repayment priority than Strive's existing perpetual preferred stock, SATA, which has a floating dividend rate currently at 13%. Like SATA, SATS will pay dividends daily. Upon completion of the issuance, the company plans to reserve a dividend reserve equivalent to the dividends payable for the first 18 months of SATS. The proceeds will be used to purchase Bitcoin, acquire income-generating assets, or repurchase shares. Strive has been steadily increasing its Bitcoin holdings recently. Last week, the company purchased 3,311 Bitcoins, raising its total holdings to 32,773 Bitcoins, valued at approximately $2.7 billion at current prices, compared to less than 20,000 Bitcoins three months ago. Unlike most Bitcoin treasury companies, including larger peers like Strategy, Strive has significantly expanded its Bitcoin holdings in recent weeks.

On October 14, sources familiar with the plans stated that by 2032, Microsoft's global network of data centers will exceed 38 gigawatts (GW) in capacity, up from the current level of approximately 12 GW. At that time, its capacity will surpass the peak electricity demand of New York State. This roadmap includes both Microsoft's owned and leased data center facilities but does not account for computing power rented from so-called new cloud service providers like CoreWeave Inc. They cautioned that these plans may be subject to adjustments, as the construction of data centers takes years, and changes in customer preferences and the emergence of new technologies could overturn current assumptions.
